Back to reality….

Off to the airport first thing but not too brutally early.  We were flown back by Finn Air operating on a BA route, and the staff were all so friendly and wholesome.  Bumpy flight as we went through lots of cloud on the way up and coming back in at Heathrow. 

R is driving down the West Coast having a lovely time, sleeping in his van on remote beaches.  He suddenly got a call for a job in West London though so had to hit the road and chug South (the van’s quite slow) 

Arrived home in torrential rain which continued all evening.  V was out at the school and got back at around 8 so we managed dinner before a POWER CUT.  We got a text from the electricity company saying the power wouldn’t be back on until midnight so we lit candles everywhere and went to bed.  

Power came back on around 1am and the house leapt into life so I blearily wandered round switching everything off.
