Connections
Connections - with the past visiting the Bedford museum and with my blipfriend Nicoiseannie who accompanied me on this little outing.
We are going to a flower arranging course at the end of the month, located in a farm house barn next to The Abbey in Old Warden. When we were discussing this it came up in the conversation about the dissolution of the monasteries and in particular Warden Abbey that hundreds of years ago was a huge collection of buildings. I said that when the preservation work was done on the abbey, many of the floor tiles and artefacts were taken to Bedford Museum, so we agreed it would go on the bliplist of places to visit.
What a brilliant afternoon. A good ‘first’ look round the museum. As often the case you can’t take everything in on just one visit, but it was quite enlightening.
Outside we took some photos of the ‘castle’ and the mosaic, pictures in extra.
Of course, we had tea and coffee in The Pantry afterwards!
