Thursday Night Dinner

I sent this photo ( or so I thought) to my sons in our group WhatsApp today, with the tag “ he’s still got it”…
implying our 11 yr old cat could still hunt and catch!
Unfortunately I forgot to add the photo which caused my youngest son to reply ???
I then answered “ Bear killed this this morning” but on my eldest son’s lock screen he only saw “ Bear killed” which as you can imagine caused great momentary distress as he assumed I was texting him to tell him about the demise of the cat.

After a couple of exchanges, order was restored!

I am still impressed the cat managed to kill it ( it was warm) and get it through the cat flap.
The OH and I pondered where he’d caught it as we’ve never seen a squirrel in our suburban garden.
How ironic that not half an hour ago, one ran along the back fence :)
A busy day of ballet , abbey and u3a stuff, followed by box office.
