Another view of our new pond bed
We woke to more rain, but it did clear up enough (as per the forecast, amazingly) for W to run round with the leaf blower and mower, collecting up fallen leaves.
By the time J arrived to look at the area we want to landscape with a wildlife pond and more shrubs it was almost balmy. But whilst he was measuring up, it started to cloud over and later (again as forecast) back came the rain.
I missed getting a photo of J using an old fashioned tape to get the measurements of the area we're asking for him to landscape. He's gone off to do some sketches, and promises to get back to us next week.
I grabbed a few more photos of the new bed. The shrub in the right foreground here is Pittosporum Elizabeth, one of several plants we had in Norfolk that we felt a need to replicate in our garden here. Nearer the pond are a couple more Pittosporum varieties that we also had in Norfolk (we're very fond of Pittosporum!)- Tom Thumb, and Irene Patterson.
W is feeling a bit under par this evening, so I'm off to make a simple dinner.
