Tone And Volume

Now I'm no virtuoso on the electric guitar - far from it - but I do know that it does need to be turned up loud if you're trying to record a rock number that's going to sound reasonably authentic.

My poor wife and family are having to put up with a lot of noise this week as I lay down some tracks. I think they (well, my wife at least) will be glad when this play is over!
