a sea of kale

In this photo, you can just see our house, under the purple hill, surrounded by a sea of kale. It can't be long now before the cattle come in to eat it.

It has been a calm day, with some rain, but nothing heavy. Nothing like the deluge falling on the east coast which is bearing the brunt of Storm Babet. My parents are in Scarborough and Mum said that they were having "thick mist, rain and the wildest sea I have ever seen".
