The interviews today were much more successful than I thought they’d be and we’ve appointed a good internal candidate. This will creat another vacancy in the team so on we go with recruitment (if the vacancy freeze committee will let us). I’m really relieved - I wasn’t sure how the day was going to go and how we’d manage to make a decision but in the end it was very clear. However, I was absolutely shattered afterwards and was in bed by 9!
