Frog School

Meet Frog Teacher, head of Frog School. It's his job to teach the pupils at his bath time school important water-based lessons including diving, swimming underwater, and being green.

In the real world (in a real School) there are times when things do appear to be going well. You are confident in your abilities having had great success in your aims. When examples of your work are being used to secure new funding. When your colleagues compliment you on how well you are doing and your appraisals could (literally) not be better. And when given a job opportunity to expand the role you do a great , nee perfect interview (attested through feedback) and you feel nervous but confident, as you know all the candidates well and none have your level of experience or qualification or knowledge of the subject. You do doubt yourself still but your single interviewer is, after all, the one who gave you such positive praise and has not only seen you at work, seen the results but also used what you do as an example of what your school can do really well. The job is then yours and secure through to next year based on your experience, qualifications and recent successes.

And then there are times when all of the above is true except for the last sentence. And the single interviewer offers the job to a (very nice) candidate without any experience or or teaching qualifications against the advice of immediate colleagues.

Anna is having one of those days.

Guess you can't fight (some) politics.
