So the big news had me taking L to hospital with Aphasia - she couldn’t think of words for basic things like cocktail which can obviously be inconvenient but also heralded a more serious issue. Once at the hospital we discovered her blood pressure was 235/135 which is wayyyyyy too high. Scans revealed some bleeding on her brain and so they got to work on lowering the BP with IV meds and then to ICU. Scan during the night revealed that there was no further bleeding and it now looks likely she will be home soon, BP meds in hand to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Thought this photo was interesting - unlike when we were nursing these people look like they are launching a rocket into space!
