Wild and wet.

Not a day for venturing outside, so this photo was taken through the kitchen window of the soggy looking rose which is climbing up the wall between the window and door.
It has rained none stop all day and quite windy too. However not as bad as other parts of the U.K. I don’t like these warm wet days. Much prefer dry, cold, and sunny.

Have spent this afternoon in a warm kitchen, baking a blackberry and apple pie and preparing the dried fruit for the Christmas cakes. Now soaking overnight in brandy.

Looking forward to having a takeaway pizza delivered for our evening meal.
Will have some of the pie for ‘ afters’ .
