View from the conservatory door

had a very wild and windy walk in the woods mid morning with rain of course, not been out for the rest of the day.

The roads around are flooded now as the River Aire has burst it's banks, as usual and the road to Castleford is now closed but there will be the usual wallie who will try and get through and get stuck, they always do. The road past Fairburn Ings is closed too, Kirsty just got through before the police cordoned it off. The road to Ledston Village is closed at the bottom end as the beck was running high  it will have flooded by now. BUT we can't grumble when you se the devastation to some poor peoples homes up in Scotland and any other places.

Plus we are lucky we are not in the middle of a war zone.

Misty went out at around 6am and when I opened the door at 8.30am this black bullet shot across the lawn and into the house with an indignant meeeou she's not been out since. Well she pestered to go in the first place, she's learnt her lesson I think.
