An unexpected find

Much too windy to even contemplate a walk this morning but I did have to nip out and fix my garden gate which was swinging rather violently.

Passing my rockery I spotted a new flower (and bud) growing on my white pulsatilla which usually flowers in April and May. The plant is growing in a sheltered spot where it is protected by my Japanese Anemone.

Hope the wind dies down a bit before I have to head out for my Covid/Flu jags at about 8 o'clock tomorrow morning.
