El Arish Tavern, lost in time

Visited a classic old North Queensland Pub for lunch today a couple of XXXX (beers). This old pub is located in a small town of only 344 people, named by returning WW1soldiers who served in the "Light Horse Brigade" in Egypt (where they fought). Political correctness is yet to be found in this remote part of my State. The walls are covered in "girly" posters and such. They still mainly serve XXXX beer that has largely been rejected by current generations of Queenlanders for more boutique and international beers. The Extra shows a small part of the inside including an up to date count of the tonnage of sugar cane crushed at the nearby Tully Sugar Mill. Banana and Sugar plantations are the main industries in these parts.... The food and beer were both excellent...
