Lull

Thursday night brought horrendous winds and rain. Had to change the bucket during the night as it was full.

Terrible conditions further up the east coast in Brechin. Feel so sorry for them being flooded despite having flood defences. This weather was extreme.

There was a lull at lunchtime yesterday so we headed out. Stopped of at Laura’s to see if all ok there. Met by her neighbour Jimmy to say he’d been trying to find us (by driving around the area looking for our car) as their bedroom window had blown open and the rain going in. Yes, there was a lot of water in but the rug took the brunt of it so took it away here and stuff lying nearby! Ugh.

We went for a coffee, butchers and m and s and then home.

More rain started later …..

The flood defences have held in Perth thankfully but the river is v high.
