Durham

I was up so, so early this morning to pick up the coach with B, at 7.30, to visit Durham.Three more pick ups, and we arrived at 12.0...a long journey.  However, the sun was shining and we enjoyed a wonderful guided tour around the city. An enthusiastic young guide, with lots of interesting stories about the people and places who made their mark on the city. I've learned so much.The cathedral is fabulous, a side view as we approached it.
We are overnight, north of the city, in an extremely comfortable hotel, where we are taking a short rest before dinner. More to come tomorrow...
