Apple Day Hornet

We've been dodging the showers all day. I hung around the Cox's Orange Pippin tree as it's Apple Day and I was hoping to capture some sort of droplet bug on an apple. I got lucky late this afternoon when I spotted a hornet. It was quite sluggish and spent ages thrust into a hole in the fruit. It's cleaning one of its forelegs in my shot.
