Rhododendron - love or hate.... and an ill wind

A lovely splash of vibrant colour seen whilst out walking on the edge of the Preseli hills in North Pembrokeshire, but Rhododendron Ponticum is not loved by all as it is very invasive and pushes out the native understory in woodland.

The dogs loved their walk, especially as they were supposed to be in kennels and we were supposed to be sailing for Skokholm Island first thing tomorrow. Our trip was cancelled due to the strong southwesterlies....as Miss Pickles says, "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good!"
