Not So Low Solo

On This Day In History
1964: Jean-Paul Sartre wins and declines the Nobel Prize In Literature

Quote Of The Day
"If you are lonely when you're alone, you are in bad company."
(Jean-Paul Sartre)

Conversely, if you aren't lonely when you are alone, then you are in good company, I presume. I was happily running my 22k route when I heard one of my favourite pieces of classical classical music being played on a flute beneath the bridge over which I was running. I went to thank this sweet and charming gentleman who had been happily playing his flute beneath the bridge, adding a little beauty to the world.

A love of solitude does not make one a misanthrope; we are as happy in each other's company as we are apart, I am sure.

The same cannot be said of Sampson, I suspect.
