A room with a view

Day 1 of 3 in London (I know that means working on Saturday!).
Been a busy week, 2 days in north Wales, then Exeter yesterday and today London.
It's so nice to be able to come back to a room with a view...
Some buildings in london are great but there is a blandness to much of the new which is just depressing, the lessons of the past forgotten in the pursuit of profit,

opposite our office are old Victorian warehouses which are due to be torn down so that a 10 story block of student accommodation and 'services' can be built in its place. The rooms are pre built pods slotted into a structure, very efficient and the whole project can be completed in 10 months

I can imagine many uses for the warehouses and the history of their use is proof of this potential, I can't imagine another future for the pod structures being built. It's a shame, but hey it's not like there building on a park
