Sunday Stroll

We used to go for long-ish walks together regularly at the weekends but seemed to have got out of the habit of doing so, partly because T is generally playing golf on Saturday and I am often doing Parkrun. However there is still Sunday and so we decided to aim for a weekly Sunday Stroll.  I even put in the diary as reminder !

This morning we headed over to Killiekrankie and did a loop by walking along the Tendary road (where we spotted a red squirrel)  to the Garry Bridge and then back by the river.  It was a lovely bright day but we are not yet at peak autumn colours - quite a difference from  last year  and three years ago.

We stopped on the Garry Bridge and watched people going across on the zip wires - you can make out one in the extra if you look closely.  There was also snow on Beinn a' Ghlo.

On returning to the visitors centre we enjoyed a fine lunch of soup and a scone followed by coffee and cake.

Back home our new coffee machine arrived, the last one having stopped working. This one has a built in grinder and a thermal pot to keep the coffee warmer longer.  We allowed ourselves an extra cup of coffee to try it out. Very tasty it was too.
