Grandad's Diaries 1920s - 1950s

Mum brought these today from Auntie Pat who is moving from Buckingham (Bucks) to St Ives in Cambridgeshire. I'm gonna read them and then donate them to either Oxford County Museum or Aylesbury County Museum. They are a record of a farmer eeking out a living on farms in Fritwell, and Merton Oxfordshire and then Edgcott in Buckinghamshire.

Most of it is quite mundane but then you read of an uncle being born or of an auntie dying prematurely. I will copy the odd entry for my blip if it is of interest..

Went to see C with Mum.

Got my washing done.
