Sunday walk
The weather was glorious and we decided to get going early (ish). By the time we had a bit of breakfast and fiddled around it was gone 11.00 but - hey ho! We haven't done a walk around Mote Park for ages and the car park was heaving when we got there. We found out later that a half marathon was taking place and most of the cars were from people taking part. We walked around the lake and stopped a few times in the sunshine.
Home for lunch and OH had been busy finishing off the circle in the front garden. No.1 had a sleep as she was quite tired and I did some preparation for dinner and also made a pear and caramel upside down cake which I had seen advertised in a magazine. It was a bit of a faff (as ever) but turned out ok although not sure why I make cakes when nobody seems to eat them?
No.2 visited with H as they had been visiting friends for lunch. I sent him off with bits and pieces from MIL house that he had wanted but he wasn't interesting in taking a piece of cake home with him. It was lovely to see H and they seem to definitely be a 'couple' now and seem happy together. If he's happy, I'm happy.
