Adventure

The ball field has been renamed the Adventure Field! First an activity frame appeared and then  today they had covered the tunnels with earth. I think there is more to be done, it was very muddy so I didn't venture too far into the area for fear of slipping! Oscar was very happy!
I had a sort out day today - I ventured into the room from hell where my school and kitchen stuff are still stored. I sorted my collection of ribbons yesterday and today found more! So more sorting into their coloured bags! Then it was various small boxes full of bits and bobs that were sorted into organised keep, give to charity and throw! I then started on my ornament boxes of things that used to be in the kitchen. This included a whole box of necklaces that used to hang on hooks on my kitchen wall. Well of course they were all tangled up and I spent a couple of hours disentangling them! 5 necklaces had become horribly entwined and in the end I had to sacrifice one to disentangle the others! Now I have to find a way of storing them!  I did find a great idea on Etsy - a slim branch of wood sanded and oiled with hooks drilled in along its length that then hands by a thread. I reckon I could make something like that! I'd actually forgotten I had so many necklaces - 37 in all!! The most precious emotionally is my dads RAF dog tags from WWII. On googling them I discovered there are two as one was kept on the body and the other sent home for burial service record keeping. Some of my necklaces I think I will give to friends as they no longer suit my taste! They have to be on display somewhere because a) they are pretty and need displaying so I can admire them and b) if they are displayed I will remember to wear them and it will be so much easier to chose one!
I also reproofed a raincoat so I can sell it on Vinted! The spray I bought   worked really well. I flicked it with water and the droplets just rolled off as they should. Before the spray rain just soaked into the fabric! I also sprayed Oscars coat - no not his real coat but the coat I bought thinking it was waterproofI Turned out it was just for warmth and Oscar has no need of that being an outdoor breed with a double coat! I only use it on evening walks when I don't want a wet dog smell in my bedroom at night!
So a busy and productive day! Finished with Strictly and more apple doughnuts!!
