Smoke and Sear

I drove over to Newcastle to see Will and Gina. The kittens have grown and are still very playful.

There was a short walk to the restaurant at lunchtime. It was called Smoke and Sear, there was an excellent choice of vegan, vegetarian and steak. I had smoked aubergine with deep fried halloumi, the sauce included garlic and walnuts. It was served on sourdough bread. Really delicious but I couldn’t finish all the bread.

We enjoyed our catch up and agreed to meet more often. They gave me a cuddly fluffy dressing gown for a belated birthday gift.
