Soccer in Her Bones
It’s been a beautiful Fall day. Hubby couldn’t get back to sleep after Millie got sick, so he went to his recliner around 5:00. It was my turn at 7:00. Not sure what upset her tummy, she has not been like this for months. I worked on the November WV menu spreadsheet and hubby did other “paperwork”. We left home at 9:15 and stopped for brunch at 11:00. We arrived at Brooklyn’s soccer game not long before it started at 1:00. Her game was in Finksburg, a town northwest of Baltimore. She played offense first half and goalie to finish the game. The other team scored once in the first half and that was the only goal of the game. The wind made the game interesting for sure. The team was disappointed with the loss after winning the last multi-game tournament. Brooklyn had several saves. She gave it her all but I bet she was asleep by the time they left the parking lot. She went to a spooky Halloween event at King’s Dominion last evening with her “boyfriend” and his parents and returned home quite late. We are taking a leisurely drive home. What better way to spend a Sunday than being outside in the glorious sun and breeze. I hope your weekend was pleasant. Thanks for your visit. Stay safe. The world’s atmosphere is very unsettling. Thanks for your visit. The boys appreciated your recent comments. “Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back… play for her.” - A Mia Hamm
