All week this crane has been getting built along the road from us.  Today it was standing tall ready to get on with the heavy lifting.  Network rail are replacing a bridge over the railway line.

The amount of work required is crazy.  They have built an access road and site compound to allow them to get the crane and bridge into place for the lift.

And once finished they will reinstate everything back to how it was before they started work.

To get an idea of the size of the crane the boxes on the ground below the crane and hook are shipping containers.
