Winning smiles.

Younger son’s rugby team was playing in a local derby match; they beat the home team for the first time - quite an achievement. And he scored a try! He got a bit bashed about and his partner spotted his ear was bleeding after I took the photo. It’s certainly a contact sport. There is more to the story however; he and a number of his teammates (and brother) used to play here for years, many years ago, so the victory was quite poignant. There was good travelling support and the foul weather cleared in the morning. The wee family came too, my wife and I both walked the dog around the pitch. Older son caught up with someone he coached years ago; home just now, he plays in France.

Watched 2nd Semi Final of RWC2023. South Africa go through to meet New Zealand in the Final next Saturday.
