An unexpected addition ..... in October!

Sis and I certainly didn't expect to see a family of ducklings on Maxwell Pond when we had our walk this morning.  My distance sight is poor particularly when looking at such tiny balls of fluff.

Viewing through the camera confirmed that it was indeed a family of five wee ducklings but in the photo there are only four ...... the extra will show what happened to the fifth wee one. Not nice to see but that's life in the natural world.

It was a good morning for a walk ..... a chilly start but with clear blue skies the sun soon encouraged the temperature to rise to double figures.
