Cone-i-cal...

That'd be what was causing the rather ugly clunking sound at the front of my bike. It manifested itself slightly after we'd re-done the bearings the other week but today it got to the point that makes you careful of how you ride and start testing various theories of what is causing it.

Turned out that a cone holding the bearings in was a little on the uncomfortable side of corrosion. Managed to salvage one from a dead wheel which will hopefully do me until I can replace it proper.
