Mum has been in hospital since 06 September and finally got home today. She's been through infection after infection before having emergency surgery and turning a corner. There have been a number of times I thought that was it but she's always rallied and battled through. Pretty incredible really. She'll have carers in four times a day but I'm not sure she really needs that much care. Good to know it's there for her first few weeks home though. I hope I'm not tempting fate with my optimism. You have to look on the bright side eh?
