New friends in Boscombe

Today's excitement was seeing these cute monsters, lifting the spirits at an otherwise dull and bland shopping precinct. Above shop level there are pleasant facades, a reminder of how Boscombe was once a favoured resort.

We did our daily shop, and returned home. Made red cabbage, but left it in the air-fryer for too long - dried out but just about edible. The coconut curry, with sweet potatoes, aubergine, onions and basmati rice, was thankfully more successful.

Just seen the first of two more hostages released to the International Red Cross. Shall switch off now and hope to awake to more good news.

Update - just found on social media:-
"This Halloween, prepare for an extraordinary encounter with our Coastal Critters. These unique creatures, crafted from parachute material by the talented Filthy Luke, will be taking up residence in various buildings across our coast.
