Old House

Today we went to eat spargel (plump white German asparagus), pancakes, ham, meat and potatoes with very kind friends of our houseswappers. They lived in an old family houser ight on the pavement of the main street but behind was an expanse of outbuildings and a productive vegetable garden. Alan came away with some rhubarb crowns which will be a very agreeable souvenir of our stay here.
