Goodbye Neddy

So sad to hear today of the passing of my aviation friend Alan who I’ve known for 14 years. I enjoyed his stories and will remember him fondly.

Lost for words so these are taken from the Headcorn Aerodrome Facebook group:

“Some sad news for us all here at Headcorn. Alan "Neddy" Bennett-Turner sadly passed away on Saturday (30th September) night, he was a legend in our aviation world having been an engineer and a solid part of the Headcorn Aerodrome family for many years, and of course was one of the first Radio Caroline DJ’s on the MV Fredericia. He was certainly a character and you could listen to him for hours (well you had no choice) on tales from his life. He will be sadly missed by us all here and across the country as he was a gentleman to the very end. Blue skies.”
