Coronation Flags
I think I must have slept a bit better last night although it did not seem it at the time. There was only a brief time in the flat, breakfast and clean-up (PY did a bit of work on the bathroom tiles) before we left about 11am for the ferry back to the mainland. We were back at home in London by 2:30pm which gave three hours before we were heading out again.
Once more we off to Brasserie Zedel. Tonight it was The Crazy Coqs Presents.... Bond, James Bond! So it was an evening of wine and toasted almonds with songs like License to Kill (my favourite), For Your Eyes Only and a rendition of Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang that was used in Thunderball.
On our way we noticed that the flags were up for next week’s Coronation. London is looking pretty patriotic at the moment with the flags out. I guess that’s to be expected as it’s the centre of the action but I wonder how the rest of the country will celebrate. I don’t recall seeing quite as many flags up in Ryde this weekend.
After the performances we headed home, via the Co-op where we bought some snacks. One of the great advantages of these Sunday night events is that they are over by about 9pm which means we can be home in about an hour.
