Pumpkins are out!

Repurposed a Dockyard Ropery Christmas wreath by deconstructing the festive decs and replacing them with these little prop pumpkins (another Sainsbury’s purchase), a fern, feather and some ribbon.

I used wool to attach the prop pumpkins as they were too hard for floristry wire. I’m quite pleased with the result.

Almost skipped swimming tonight as I was cosy indoors and didn’t feel like the drive in the dark. I persuaded myself to go and the moment I stepped into the pool it was worth it.

Just a 20 min workout today. The water felt cold initially but after one length it was lovely.

I chatted to the lifeguard after my swim and asked him if they have to jump in the water fully clothed if someone gets into trouble. He said yes they do and they practice once a week right through the winter.

I must take some more Halloween chocolate treats for the lifeguards as a thank you. I gave some to reception last week and it went down well.
