Horrible meeting that went on forever and it had awful, grating sound quality. At one point I literally asked them to put aluminum foil on the antenna and move it.

Ukraine has a battalion of soldiers made up of Russian citizens who want to fight Putin. The Sibir battalion has dozens of Russians and people from ethnic minorities in Russia who traveled via third countries. They include people from the Yakuts and Buryats in Russia’s vast eastern Siberian region who want independence from Russia and view Ukraine’s victory in the war as a step toward that goal. This is in addition to the volunteer groups of Russians that are part of the Ukrainian army.
Russia is reaching for old, old vehicles. Now it has the BMD-3: a lightweight, air-droppable infantry fighting vehicle. The Russian airborne forces decided years ago that it wasn’t worth the cost of supporting it.
The Wall Street Journal has an article about businesses investing in Ukraine. Ukraine received $3.1 billion in foreign direct investment this year as of August.
