Site visit

A very nice man called Angus visited us this morning to discuss installing a heat pump radiator system, to look at the rooms and inspect under the house for a possible location for the hot water and feeder tanks and the ease of installing the pipes.  It was a very detailed inspection and Angus will now go away to do the calculations and provide us with a definitive quote.


Angus had only just left when we received a call to say that our double glazing will be installed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week, weather permitting. We’re very excited about that.  All being well, the new garage door will be installed at the same time.

We walked into town and had a coffee and a nibble at a café we haven’t been to before and decided we won’t be going back to.  Then we walked to Mitre10 to buy a cupboard to go downstairs for MrMacD’s art materials.  We’ll pick it up tomorrow when we have the car.

All in all, a good day.

The clematis at the bottom of the garden is starting to bloom - gorgeous, big purple flowers.  We continue to be surprised and amazed at what keeps appearing.
