Eating or nesting??

I've never seen this before - a bird eating or collecting strands from a dandelion.  Or maybe it was eating some bugs that were nestled in there?

Attempt #2 this afternoon to cover my raspberries and strawberries with netting before the birds discover them.  Alas, I shall have to move on to attempt #3........probably not tomorrow though as the forecast is foul.

E in hospital today for her operation.  Very mixed emotions about it all.  I'll get the update tomorrow I hope.
