Gravesend, Kent: pontoon, tug, ferry and yacht.

The Gravesend to Tilbury ferry, Jacob Marley, at the town's pontoon, attached to the Town Pier (in fact, for those surprised Gravesend has a pier, it has 3). It will later depart to Tilbury. It runs from 5.40am to 7.15pm and is a bloomin' great service. To its left is a tug called Felix and there is also a yacht.
This is the River Thames, one of its better bits, safely distant from London.
I've found that the GPS on my baby Sony camera no longer works as it's out of date. Never mind. 
I didn't take any pictures of General Gordon today, but I see I can upload extra pictures, which is nice, so I'll put up one from about 30 years ago...
