There are flowers on my Japonica, its about four months ahead of when flowers usually appear.  The grreeny/golden leaves in the background are from the Walnut tree, they are so late dropping this autumn.
I spent a couple of hours taking Ivy off two of the Alders, looking much better now and better for the trees too.
