Niagara

We went to Niagara Falls today.
It was cold, wet and windy, but nothing can detract from the magnificence of the falls. I just I wish I could really capture the spectacle and roar of the water, it' sheer volume, power and sound. I never tire of seeing it.

The largest and most magnificent of three waterfalls, Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side (the fact of which my Canadian cousin is immensely proud).
The falls drain Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, and I wonder that Lake Erie isn't empty by now as between 4 and 6 million cubic feet of water fall over it's 165 feet every minute. It's the highest flow rate waterfall in the world (Wikepedia).
