Slimbridge WWT

As mentioned yesterday I took Bella and Hetty to Slimbridge wetlands wild fowl trust. It is an interesting place to visit, very close and personal with the geese, ducks, swans and a few other birds that want the food that people had in the brown paper bags! Very exciting for the children especially, apart from Hetty who was convinced the various geese breeds were going to bite her legs HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
There's flamingo's too, otters and so many other varieties of water birds, quite amazing. The bit all the children go for is the Welly Boot Land.
And yes, that is the girls IN SWIMMING COSTUMES in Welly Boot Land! I told them they'd be cold but they said "No we won't it's fun". Tough girls, it took a while for them to come to me saying they are cold, they were also wet which made them feel even colder. They aren't yet used to UK temperatures. They left to live in Cyprus when they were one year old, now they are four, coming up five next January, so they really know nothing else but warm Mediterranean winters.
The first Extra is the view from 'the tower'. It's a terrific place for bird watchers and photographers. The panoramic shot makes the lake look a bit further away than it actually is.
