Cluck cluck! (again)

Down in the woods I found a Chicken of the Woods, Laetiporus sulphureus. It's one of the most sought-after edible fungi, beloved by foragers for its very distinctive appearance which is hard to confuse with anything else, while its fibrous texture  makes it a perfect vegetarian alternative to chicken meat.


In actual fact I prefer another form of fungal poultry, the quite different Hen of the Woods  blipped here under the same title.
