Grey Heron

Two Heron waiting today on the tenement roof. I am guessing the other one was the nervy male. They were both crossing the path at the entrance as I arrived although I didn't see them land. They were promptly joined by the other 4 on the other side of the path. The adult male got a little feed before he was chased by one of the younger ones. Then a dog with a flashing light collar chased them all. However they landed on the slope again and I continued feeding them. I saved a feed for the adult male and made for his hiding place. Sure enough he was there but as I started to feed him one of the others landed and he was off. I went further round to a spot with a weeping willow(?) and he was there. The other heron flew straight past. I gave the male his feed then headed off! The crows are really going through the biscuits.
