What I had hoped was going to be a quiet day of getting on with my jobs didn't turn out as planned. Two deliveries in this morning. Gate engineers this afternoon along with the compressor engineer.
Well, the gate engineers replaced the gearbox and motor that had been playing up. Then the control box failed to work properly sending the gates in all directions and doing what they liked. It may come as no surprise that the complete assembly is made in Italy. Honestly they should only be allowed to make ice cream and coffee.
My rather beautiful Atlas Copco is estimated to be about £7000 to repair! So I am looking at alternative air compressors. Best quote so far is £4600 supply only. Still looking. However a glimmer of hope could be a small electrical fault. Isolated the machine and our electrician should be with us on Tuesday.
Managed to get about half of the Primroses spaced out in-between everything else going on.
One of this mornings deliveries was the replacement for my OMD EM 10 MK2. An OM5. Beautiful.
Ants are a good indication that there are aphid close by. We no longer view caterpillars as a greenhouse pest, it is so rare that we see them now and I am happy to let them be.
Sunshine and showers. Some of the showers have been very heavy.
