Bits and bobs

Drove to Sherdley Park this morning in order to replace a geocache of mine which had gone missing and also to have a bit of a walk. I managed to dodge the rain showers. Lots of autumnal colours in the park - also see extra - one of our acers.
Got quite a bit done today - cleaned the shutters in the kitchen, including the top halves which I don't do every time as it means stepladders. Other bits of cleaning in the kitchen. 
Decided to clean the gutter, fascia board, drainpipe, door and window frame on the side of the garage - involved the use of the stepladder again, and a quite a bit of up-down, up-down. Looks so much better though.
We made chicken soup for tea.
I finished the Lucy Clarke book, "Last Seen". This book has been very difficult to put down. Will start another Santa Montefiore book tomorrow.
