Birthday Dinner

Today I:
saw instruments I'd never seen before,
risked my life crossing confusing SoCal streets,
ran a triangular trail,
finished (reading) a book,
chatted with familial folks I rarely see,
indulged,
loafed,
listened to old stories,
listen to new stories,
shared jokes only a family knows,
planed,
reflected,
enjoyed the moment,
heard from an old friend,
and
celebrated my 27th birthday.
