Family....

It's been such a beautiful day, such a beautiful weekend....

After the early part of last week spent in damp Blackpool we treated ourselves to a new barbecue and some recliner seats for the garden, to make the most of the sudden increase in temperature.

It was so lovely for me and Sarah to relax in the quiet while the kids played outside or down the park and then spend some quality time all together, messing about in the garden, making BBQ pork rolls and enjoying a glass of cider.

Family is very important to me and to Sarah and we both work very hard to try and keep familial channels open, even though it can be a real challenge at times....

....the last three or four years have been particularly tough for both families, we've lost and then found each other, there have been serious surgeries, illnesses and deaths....we might fight, fall out and not speak....then help out, make up and laugh and play....just like my kids....

My four are always yelling at each other, telling tales, falling out, like real brothers and sisters do....they are however incredibly close, they look out for each other and are fiercely protective of each other, their bond is strong....I hope it always will be xxxx
