Friday night with friends

It's been another crazy day of exercise bike riding, packing for Mummy hazelh and seeing her off on her travels, loading and unloading the washing machine, pilates, swimming, walking, chamber maiding, baking scones, welcoming Brian as our next guest, and socialising. 

While I was at the gym this morning, Mr hazelh delivered Mummy hazelh into the care of my middle sister just south of Berwick for her onward trip to West Sussex. He was back home in good time for the arrival of Brian (last here from Canada in May) at 3pm.

This evening the three of us took an Uber to Frauke and David's house for drinks, then a wonderful meal at the Rabbit Hole in Marchmont. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant Mr hazelh remembered that we had eaten there a long time ago. Then it was called Sweet Melinda's, and I think that we had a 'pay what you think it's worth' meal on a Tuesday evening about 20 years ago.

My blip is of a portion of Frauke and David's huge book collection and some of David's art work in the sitting room of their flat in Marchmont.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; pilates class; swimming (30 lengths); walking (14,632 steps).
