Japanese Photographers have a strong opinion regarding the concept of memory, KIOKU.
Albeit the words KIOKU, 'memory' and KIROKU,'record or document', have a similar sound, Japanese Photographers hold that photography is not a means of documentation but it's rather a tool for memory.
